The small town of Alberola at 661 meters above sea level belongs to the municipality of Os de Balaguer. It had been part of the municipality of Tragó de Noguera before it was flooded by the waters of the Santa Anna reservoir.

It is located seven km from the farmhouse, it is a starting point for several visits and excursions such as the Monastery of Santa Maria de Vallverd and the abandoned village of Tragó, the Montdeví mountain range, it also allows you to visit the reservoirs of Santa Anna and Canelles.

Near the village you can also visit the old settlement of Vilot (early settlement of Alberola)
