Vilanova de la Sal

Twelve km. of the farmhouse, located at the foot of Puig de Privà and 606 meters above sea level is Vilanova de la Sal which belongs to the municipality of Les Avellanes and Santa Linya.

The village preserves medieval vestiges such as one of the access portals and the sotinyas of some of its streets. Walking you will find the medieval church of Santa Maria, with a single nave and side chapels.

The Salines de Vilanova de la Sal declared a cultural asset of local interest, with an extension of 3000 m² where you can discover with a visit the crystallization techniques and the history of the use of salt from prehistory to current affairs

Very close you can visit the Balma of the hermitage of Sant Cap, the hermitage of Sant Miquel, the hermitage of Montalegre, the hermitage of Sta. Margaret of Privà.
